Years 1 and 2

Children work to National Curriculum guidelines. What is unique in our school is that the Montessori philosophy and teaching methods particularly in the Kindergarten classes with regard to language, mathematics and in understanding the world around them, through History, Geography, Science, Art and ICT. We combine this with current educational thinking and practice and in this way children are given a firm ground on which to build during the years in the Preparatory School. They will also experience lessons in P.E. and Games, which includes tennis and swimming. French language tuition is continued and Religious Education is delivered in a non-denominational way.
