The Main School
First-time visitors to our school are always impressed by the scale and range of facilities on offer at Oakfields. Set in a Grade II-listed mansion with bright and airy classrooms within seven acres of stunning grounds, our children have the space to learn and grow. The three-acre field in front of the school is used daily during playtimes and is also used for P.E. lessons, including Cross-Country Running, Rugby, Rounders and Athletics. Children are supervised at all times.
The school is set in the main house, where many of the impressive historic features remain. It has dedicated facilities for Music and Art, along with a Library and a separate Hall and Dining Room.
Early Years’ Facilities
Our Kindergarten has its own outdoor play area, with marquee, outdoor learning area and garden, where the children grow their own vegetables. The children also have access to the adjoining orchard. Our Reception room also has its own adjoining outdoor learning and play area. There is a wide variety of toys available for our children during playtimes.
For sports, we have a floodlit court, which we use for a variety of sports, including Tennis, Netball and Hockey. We also have an indoor heated swimming pool on-site, with excellent changing facilities, where all our children from the summer term of Kindergarten upwards have swimming lessons, led by specialist teachers.
